Applications are invited from male Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility conditions for filling up the vacancies in each State/UT in the rank of Constable (GD) in ‘Sashastra Seema Bal’ for the year 2010. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Advertisement No.206/RC/SSB/CT(GD)/10/2808-2822.

1. Constable (GD) - 8366 posts

• Age Limit : 18 to 23 years
• Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
• Qualification : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University / Board with.

ApplicationFee: Rs.50/- for candidates belonging to General and  OBC categories. No fee for SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates.  The candidates will enclose Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Commandant 25th Bn. SSB, Ghitorni, PO-Arjungarh, New Delhi-110047. 

Last Date: The last date of receipt of applications for all States is 08/10/2010. However, the closing date for receipt of applications for the candidates from North- Eastern States, Sikkim, Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba, Lahaul & Spiti  and Kinnaur Districts of Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh Division, and Kashmir of J&K State will be 15/10/2010.

Applications are invited from male Indian citizens fulfilling the eligibility criteria for recruitment to the post of Constable (Driver) in SSB. The last date of receipt of application form is 30/08/2010.

1. Constable (Driver) : 524 posts (SC-151,ST-27, OBC-99,UR-198)

• Pay Scale : Rs. 5200- 20200 Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
• Age : 18-28 years
• Qualification : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board/ university. (ii) Must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Application Fee : Application fee will be Rs.50/- for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories in the form of Crossed Bank Draft or Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, (SSB) O/O IG FTR HQ Patna. No fee will be charged from SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.

How to Apply : Eligible and desirous candidates should send their applications in the prescribed proforma with attested passport size photographs duly affixed on the application form and admit card and duly completed in all respect to The Inspector General, FTR HQ (SSB), Patna, Rukanpura House, Baily Road, Patna (Bihar)-800014. The last date of receipt of application form is 30/08/2010.  (Last date is 07/09/2010 for the candidates from far-flung areas)
